Correction- because while the cord was missing, I installed Snow Leopard (aka a new or updated operating system for the lay person), software is no longer available to make the too old camera and the computer with the too new OS compatible- no worries the General Manager from the cable company that I had sent a nastygram to- did not help me discover this, but sent me a one liner saying "That is impossible." I asked Ian if I should send him an apology and he doesn't think so, but I think I might have to.
