stomatitis

Here he is our sick baby doing his new favorite trick in his jammies- pulling himself up to stand on everything, including dangerous sharp corners and unstable objects.

After the fever and the worst half day at work ever, the evening followed with the refusal to eat by our sick baby. Then, a horrendous night which involved a few uninterrupted sleep spurts, one being in the swing (which he has hated for most of his little life) and the other after a 5am hour walk, but otherwise we had an inconsolable little Mr. So being the new parents we are, back to the Dr. we went to discover we were not being irrational. Luckily he started to nurse again after the appt., but refused solids until sat afternoon squash time. It is blisters in the mouth that turn into ulcers caused by any one of the million germs he puts in his mouth and amplified by the excessive saliva from teething. In addition, things like the apples I tried feeding him and the liquid medicine we used to fight the fever were burning them): They can last up to 10 days- but with vacation we barely noticed he was struggling.
