Look at this little boy- goodness he looks like he is wearing make-up he is so pretty! But, he is sound asleep after those mean terrible shots- they brought him and his mom to tears): First, the nurse takes his mini legs, bends them over the bed so she can lean on his delicate shins and poke his precious thighs, then, the crying starts a very sad lower lip, a high pitched scream, and then a full wail. He follows this up by getting so upset he forgets to breath and turns blue- uh finally another cry and tears! I have never seen tears...he just sat there with his sweet wet eye lashes and this sad confused face- heart crushing. We almost made the nurse cry.On a lighter note, he is in the 50th percentile for his head and the 75th percentile for both his height and weight- what a perfect man! 11 lbs. 1'11"
As far as his night switch that flipped she says it must be colic and it usually peaks around 8 wks.- I may enrage many by saying I have never believed in colic, but she insists if he is growing, there is no medical reason for it. If we want, if we are into medicating, we can try something for reflux, but the crying normally disappears as mysteriously as it arrived. She is also confident if feeding was going well for 5 wks. there is no need for changing my diet- hooray because I made Rachel Ray's Buffalo Chicken Chili with Bleu Cheese Corn Muffin toppers for the Super Bowl☺
Our family has big plans tonight to head to Grizzly's for dinner to utilize my comp for the first time during my "vacation," tomorrow to finish the nursery and skip dinner with Cathedral alumni because I do not want to expose anyone but his parents to his new habits, and Sun. Ian's dad is retiring as a Deacon, so there is a mass and reception to attend at 730 am, then out to my parents for the game and lots of food.
